The ClaimCell skill (in development) gives AI agents practical, built-in guidance for pulling patent and trademark data into your spreadsheet workflows.

Rather than treating ClaimCell as a generic data source, the skill teaches agents how to work with ClaimCell formulas, spreadsheet layouts, patent and trademark fields, and common legal operations tasks. It helps agents understand when to pull structured data, how to preserve source context, and how to turn repeated spreadsheet work into a dependable, reviewable pipeline.

Workflows the skill supports:

MCP access for agent tools

ClaimCell is adding Model Context Protocol (MCP) support, so compatible AI tools can connect to ClaimCell capabilities through a standard, defined interface.

MCP gives agents a consistent way to discover tools, call them, and receive structured results. With ClaimCell, that means your agent can request patent or trademark data directly — no pasted text, no brittle browser automation, no lost context.

This is particularly valuable for workflows where an agent needs to move between analysis and source data. An MCP-enabled ClaimCell connection lets the agent retrieve records, inspect fields, and build outputs that remain traceably linked to the underlying data.

Spreadsheets and agents, together

Spreadsheets remain one of the most important interfaces for IP work: they are reviewable, portable, and easy to adapt. ClaimCell continues to support that model as our core experience.
